“We”, “us” or “our” means Stitchd, with its registered office at 2550 Kontich, Veldkant 33A and with company number 0677.416.326. We act as controller for the personal data we gather through your use of our websites.

This Privacy Policy is solely intended to provide you with information in relation to the processing of personal data through your use of the websites. For our privacy practices in relation to our services, we refer you to the agreement as may be concluded between us.

Your privacy is important to us, so we’ve developed this Privacy & Cookie Policy that sets out how we collect, disclose, transfer and use (“process”) the personal data that you share with us, and which rights you have. Please take a moment to read through this policy.

What personal data do we process?

Personal data is defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Identifiable refers to identifiers (such as name, identification number, location data, etc.), that can be used to directly or indirectly identify a natural person.  The personal data we process includes: First and last name(s), address, telephone number, email address, personal data people provide in their curriculum vitae, information on attending events or courses, billing data, IP address, cookie ID (you can read more about cookies in chapter 8 Cookies) and web browsing behaviour.

Why do we process personal data?

The personal data we collect, is collected and used for the purposes as listed hereunder:


In the event you use the job application form, we will use your personal data to review your candidacy in order to reply to your application, via e-mail or telephone.

In the event you register for receiving messages from us, your e-mail address will be used in order to send you these, which may include invites to events, seminars, etc. organized by us.

In the event you register as a user on a tool created by Stitchd, we will use your e-mail address and name for authentication purposes. Your usage of the tool itself might be logged for the purpose of improving our services. We will not use authentication and usage data within our tools for marketing purposes, without your explicit consent.

We process your personal data for the purpose of improving our services, for example click behaviour on our websites to analyse which articles or pages are mostly read. But also, to ensure the security, availability, performance, capacity and health of the website.

We process your personal data for the purposes of marketing. For example, we process cookie ID’s and web browsing behaviour to recruit new colleagues, or to show relevant advertisement on the right places.

We process your personal data to enforce or exercise any rights that are available to us based on the applicable law, such as use for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

We may also use your personal data to fulfil our obligations as set out by the applicable law.

Legal grounds for the processing of data

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is consent or legitimate interest of Stitchd. For example when you fill in the contact form on one of our websites

In the event the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is consent, you will, at all times, have the right to withdraw your consent. This will, however, not affect the lawfulness of any processing done prior to the withdrawal of consent.

Your personal data will solely be used for the purposes as set out in this article.

Retention of your data and deletion

Your personal information will not be kept for longer than is necessary for handling your request or providing you with updates on the information requests.

In the event you withdraw your consent or you object to our use of your personal data, and such objection is successful, we will remove your personal data from our databases. Please note that we will retain the personal data necessary to ensure your preferences are respected in the future.

The foregoing will, however, not prevent us from retaining any personal data if this is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, in order to file a legal claim or defend ourselves against a legal claim, or for evidential purposes.

Information and access on personal data

You have the right to see what personal data we process from you.

Rectification

You have the right to change inaccurate personal data concerning you.

Erasure (right to be forgotten)

You can request us to delete your personal data. It is possible we have to process these personal data for other purposes, like administration or to deduplicate.

Restriction of processing

When you think we process your personal data unlawfully or incorrect, you can ask us to delete the processed data.

Data portability

You can request us to deliver your personal data, which we process on your consent or on contract, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. However, this right does not apply where it would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

Objection

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. We will terminate the processing immediately, unless Stitchd has urgent justified grounds not to end the processing immediately. In this case we will contact you as soon as possible.

Processors and third parties

For the implementation of our services we approach service providers. This can be third parties, like tax authorities, but most of all service providers who process personal data for Stitchd. For example, we work together with MailChimp as email service provider, our website is hosted on Netlify, and we make use of Google Analytics.

We ensure that a transfer of personal data to a third party will take place with due observance of the necessary guarantees, like a processor agreement or a data processing amendment in the case if the data is processed in a non-EU country, for example with Google Analytics.

Cookies

Stitchd uses cookies and other similar techniques to make your visit on our website as easy and personal as possible. Cookies are little text files which are placed by internet websites on a PC, tablet or mobile phone. If you visit one of our websites, we place a cookie with information in your browser. This way we recognize you automatically during you next visit. Cookies are not dangerous; they don’t have viruses. Every cookie is unique and can only be read by the server which gave it to your system. Most importantly cookies are used to make the websites you visit as easy as possible.
